"The Sailor, frontispiece poem for Moro's soon-to-be-published true adventure book about his troubadour travels, Kin To The Wind, is now the frontispiece poem for a Travelers' Tales book, Best Travel Writing 2008.

Editor-Publisher James O'Reilly discusses Kin To The Wind in his Publisher's Preface of Travelers' Tales' newly released Best Travel Writing 2011. He writes, "As I sit here this Spring day, I'm listening to music by Moro whose memoir Kin To The Wind recounts an improbable and deeply inspiring 1960s journey around the world as a young troubadour, traveling with no money or guile, but with an open mind, heart, and his guitar."

Moro is legendary for his musicianship on the guitar -- but he
studied journalism in college, and was the official photographer
for his high school as well.  His article with photographs,
OUR MOVING DUNE is published in the Summer 2011, Issue 31 edition of
OCEAN MAGAZINE.

Our Moving Dune, published in the current Summer Issue of OCEAN magazine, is now reprinted on Sparsely Sage and Timely, the blog of David Mitchell, publisher-editor emeritus of the Pulitzer Prize-winning POINT REYES LIGHT.  To view it, click on: this link.

Back in 1971, when he was known as Buddy Bohn, Moro recorded his Vermouth Rondo with
the London Philharmonic Orchestra.  It became his first international hit.
It's been re-released, on a compilation album called
Various Artists--Purple People, PUR 326.
You can read about it (complete with short bio sketches of all the artists) here:

More moromusic on the web

Moro's got a few more tunes available for your online
listening pleasure on ASCAP's web site:

Vermouth Rondo
Mosquito's Dream

This area will have Moro's concert schedules posted periodically. He is based in Northern California, but you never know where he will be showing up next to wend his magic with that incredible Andalusian guitar. His live performances have had the S.R.O. sign out in front of them.....and for good reason!

From the Oakland Tribune:

"HE PUTS ON A CONCERT THAT ONE HAS TO EXPERIENCE BECAUSE HIS REAL MAGIC COMES NOT IN HIS FANCY GUITAR PYROTECHNICS, BUT IN THE DEEP MOODS AND EMOTIONS THE MUSIC EVOKES...THIS MAN OFFERS A WARMTH AND BEAUTY RARELY FOUND IN PERFORMERS." -- Reviewer Larry Kelp
